Wakefield One museum is a stimulating and vibrant part of the new and prestigious Wakefield One building in the heart of Wakefield. This is an exciting modern museum showing off rich heritage of Wakefield, the star attraction being the renowned unique collection of Victorian Naturalist Charles Waterton.

In the museums space you will be invited to explore and engage with the history of the people of Wakefield in fresh new ways. You will have the opportunity to make your own discoveries via exploring a full range of local history resources in the neighbouring space.

The museum collections have been given a new lease of life with a fresh approach to how they are displayed and the stories they tell.
